Thank you for applying to the Fatemarked Facility on behalf of your chosen character. Please answer the following questions, which will allow us to determine whether they are suitable candidates. Be honest and thorough.

1. Character Name: Evelyn Hunt

2. Canon/Series: Original Canon (Eve of Shadows)
Evelyn Hunt's job is to enforce the Shadow Truce, enacted long ago by the top secret Department of Supernatural Affairs (DOSA) in order to keep the general public unaware of the supernatural beings that share their world. This fragile truce between those who lurk in the shadows and the few that know of their existence faces new challenges when the ageless war between the weres and the vampires threatens to begin anew. DOSA led negotiations between both parties are further strained by a shadow group determined to reveal the preternatural to those who walk in the light. In the midst of it all, Evelyn faces an even graver challenge, protecting her fiance from the very people she works for.

3. Age: 27

4. Species: Nephilim

5. Role: Governor

6. Why do you think your character is a good candidate for the Fatemarked setting?
As a member of DOSA, Evelyn is used to dealing with strange circumstances and things that lurk in the shadows. She has leadership experience, running ops against the supernatural delinquents and being a mediator between the Vamps and Weres.

7. What skills does your character have which might make them a good Sentinel?
Evelyn is a well trained soldier, able to use many different kinds of weapons and hand to hand techniques. Being the offspring of a human and an angel, she has better sight, hearing, strength and agility than normal humans, making her capable of at least holding her own against the weres and vamps that she works with (and against).

8. What traits, abilities, or qualities does your character have which might be the reason they are Fatemarked? (Skip if Sentinel.)

9. How do you think your character will react to their new role in life?

Acceptance. Evelyn adapts easily to changes, she has to in order to survive the ever changing circumstances of her life and job. She never thought that she would be teaching others how to fight and survive, but she recognizes the importance.

10. What are some of your character's strengths?

Evelyn is strong willed, smart and quick thinking. She is loyal and extremely protective of those under her charge. She is a good leader, not concerned about the problems that come with it and she displays great skill as a tactician, keeping her cool even under pressure. She believes in honesty, though there are some secrets that she will guard with her life. She will not suffer foolry, but recognizes that sometimes people do need some fun in their lives.

11. What are some of your character's weaknesses?
Her stubbornness and her protectiveness for those she cares for sometimes leads her to put herself at unnecessary risk. She dislikes being idle and prefers to be in the thick of things despite knowing that sometimes coordinating from a distance is best. Evelyn can be quite cold when dealing with others, but this is simply a defense. She also has issues with authority because they tend to keep too many secrets.

12. Does your character have any health problems we should know about?
Evelyn has a bit of PTSD from being ravaged by a group of half-weres during a rescue mission. This mostly manifests in nightmares.

13. Describe a single important event in your character's history.
Excerpt from Eve of Shadows:
‘“Sophia,” Olivia screamed as fifteen half-weres swarmed into the warehouse. She turned her head from side to side, her hair falling loose around her shoulders, swear words flying through her mind, but nothing came from her mouth as she fired into the line that separated her from her cousin and was relieved to see a flash of brown hair and fair skin going hand to hand with another were. But there was only so long they could last against seventeen weres that had known they were coming.
“Eyes.” The call came from above and instead of looking up like the half-weres, Sophia and Olivia closed their eyes and looked down as a flash bomb exploded in the warehouse. Evelyn dropped from the ceiling and into the fray, firing as she fell. She landed in a crouch and the weres, stumbling from temporary blindness, stumbled away from her fire. Sophia raced through the hole in their ranks to Olivia and grabbed her arm.
“Run.” Evelyn ordered, dropping another were with a shot to the throat as it lunged.
The cousins didn’t hesitate and added their own support fire as they headed toward the door.
“Get out and keep going,” Evelyn commanded turning away.
Though determined to obey the orders of their superior this time around, the largest half-were darted into their path, catching Olivia with his clawed hand and flinging her away from the door and into Sophia, knocking her to the ground.
“Enough,” Evelyn growled shooting into the air. The words somehow brought the weres to a halt.
“You are different,” the lion were growled loudly.
Olivia pulled herself off of Sophia and looked over, shock covering her face as Evelyn lowered her guns to the ground.
“I am different,” Evelyn responded, “you have our attention. What do you want?”
The large were flexed his muscles and yawned, showing his large teeth, “Single combat and then I might tell you.”’

14. Who is your character's next-of-kin? N/A

15. Tell us about the most important relationship your character has.
Her fiance, Blake Anderson, is the most important person in her life. He is an anchor, the one person who kept her sane after her near death. His support and care during her recovery was paramount to her successful return to DOSA. She would do anything for him, including keeping the fact that he is possessed by the spirit, Howell. Howell believes that no one should have to walk in the shadows, to hide who they truly are and his main goal is to reveal that which DOSA wants to remain hidden. He also believes that the humans have a right to know about the monsters who walk among them. This naturally puts Blake and Howell at odds with each other and makes life quite difficult for Evelyn as she tried to keep her fiance’s possession a secret.

16. What else should we know about your character that might recommend them to the position?
Evelyn tends to stay calm under pressure, because panicking doesn’t help anyone.

17. What is your character's Fatemark? This is only applicable if your character is one of the Fatemarked. If they are a Sentinel, their mark will appear after they have been assigned, and will correspond to that of their ward. If you do not have a mark selected, please leave this blank.

18. Please provide two writing samples showing us your ability to roleplay.
